If the 340,000 UPS Teamsters decided to strike, it would be the largest single-employer strike in U.S. Earlier this month, the Teamsters union representing UPS workers voted to authorize a strike if no agreement is reached by July 31, when the existing contract, signed in 2018, will expire.Ī UPS strike would be historic. The Teamsters Union has been in negotiations with UPS since mid-April. According to a press release, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters walked away from negotiations with UPS Wednesday after the company presented a new contract that did not meet the demands of the union. The Teamsters union says a UPS driver strike is "inevitable" if UPS does not return a " best and final offer," by Friday.
